From One Embroidery Order to a Municipal Partnership: How Promo Box LLC Became a Branding Partner for Redmond Police Department

Andrey | 05.25.2026
Not every municipal partnership begins with a formal proposal.

Sometimes, it begins with a single embroidery order.

That was the case with the Redmond Police Department.

This partnership didn’t start with a bid, an RFP, or a strategic pitch. It started with a private client, someone we had worked with on a small apparel order, who later transitioned into a leadership role within the department.

And then one day, we received an unexpected call.

For us, that moment was exciting. It meant stepping into a new scale of responsibility.

It felt exciting to deal with another new scale of business.

But more than that, it meant something deeper.

Loyalty That Moves With People

When a client grows in their career and chooses to bring your company with them, that speaks volumes.

It’s not about marketing. It’s not about advertising.

It’s about trust.

It just speaks loyalty on both sides. Loyalty from the customer and loyalty from us.

We had built a working relationship based on consistency, communication, and quality. When that individual stepped into a leadership position within the Redmond Police Department, they chose to continue that relationship.

Municipal partnerships built on referrals are earned. They are not transactional. They are the result of long-term reliability.

That foundation mattered.

Expanding Into Municipal Work

The initial scope of work centered on apparel, specifically branded garments for department leadership and office-level personnel.

Over time, the collaboration expanded to include identity development for specialized units within the department.

These included:

  • A custom logo for the drone unit
  • A custom logo for the motorcycle unit
  • Apparel incorporating these new visual elements

These were not vehicle or equipment graphics. These were identity systems: logos representing specific divisions within law enforcement.

And in some cases, those units did not yet have finalized branding.

They had a vision. We had to step in and put it into actual production.

Our role was to translate their concept into a clear, professional identity that could be worn and represented consistently.

That required precision and restraint. Law enforcement branding must feel strong, disciplined, and aligned with departmental standards.

It is not commercial branding.

It carries institutional weight.

Designing for Specialized Units

The uniqueness of the project was not in the equipment itself. It was in the symbolism.

The drone unit required a visual identity incorporating drone imagery.

The motorcycle unit required a design that integrated the visual language of a motorcycle wheel.

These elements had to feel integrated into the broader department identity, not separate or disconnected.

That process involved iteration, refinement, and coordination.

This leads to the most significant operational difference between private and municipal clients.

Working Within Municipal Structures

From a production standpoint, the work was well within our capacity.

The difference was procedural.

Multiple layers of approvals.

Every element required confirmation:

  • Color specifications
  • Logo accuracy
  • Garment types
  • Sizing
  • Placement

Working with a police department means understanding that every detail passes through structured review channels.

That is not an obstacle.

It is accountability.

And when you understand that, you work accordingly.

We did not need to create entirely new internal systems to manage this partnership. Our production standards and operational structure were already built for consistency.

However, it did require more communication. More coordination. More confirmation.

And that’s part of serving public institutions properly.

Credibility and Community Trust

There is another layer to partnerships like this.

When private clients learn that we work with a police department, there is a natural reaction.

Private clients look at us going like, ‘Oh wow, you guys do the police department. Must be good.’

It’s not about prestige.

It’s about credibility.

Municipal agencies do not operate casually. They evaluate. They approve. They review.

When a public safety organization trusts your work to represent its leadership and specialized units, that trust carries weight.

And in turn, that reinforces trust among private clients as well.

More Than Apparel

Our partnership with the Redmond Police Department has remained apparel-focused.

We have not expanded into additional services beyond that scope.

But the significance of the work is not defined by volume.

It is defined by representation.

When department leadership wears apparel produced by your company, it reflects on both organizations.

That visibility demands consistency.

It demands quality.

It demands professionalism.

What This Partnership Represents

For Promo Box LLC, this partnership represents several things:

  • Organic growth built on trust
  • Loyalty that extends beyond individual transactions
  • Capability to navigate municipal approval processes
  • Reliability under institutional standards
  • Participation in supporting public service professionals

This was not a contract pursued through marketing.

It was a relationship that evolved naturally.

And that is often the strongest kind.

We understand that when working with law enforcement, there is an added level of responsibility.

The individuals wearing these garments serve the community daily. They operate in environments that demand structure and discipline.

Our role is to ensure that what represents them visually reflects that same level of discipline.

From one embroidery order to a municipal partnership. That progression did not happen by accident.

It happened because consistency builds trust.

And trust moves with people.
