Promo Box Advertises at 2026 Continental Surf Cup in Chelan with Large-Format Banner Display

Promo Box LLC advertised at the 2026 Continental Surf Cup held Sept. 5-6 at Lakeside Surf in Chelan, Washington. A large-format Promo Box banner was displayed along a spectator-facing perimeter area during the two-day international surf competition.

The event brought 24 top international stationary-wave surfers to Chelan for a head-to-head competition between Team USA and Team Europe. Lakeside Surf hosted capacity crowds across both days, giving sponsors and participating businesses a strong opportunity for on-site brand visibility.

Promo Box’s banner featured the company’s logo, a short advertising message, and a QR code directing attendees to the Promo Box website. Its placement along a spectator-facing section of the venue allowed the branding to remain visible while people watched the competition and moved through the event space.

For us, that is one of the main strengths of large-format event signage. A banner stays in the same physical space as the audience. At a live event where spectators spend several hours at the venue, the same graphic can be seen repeatedly throughout the day instead of appearing only once.

Why Large-Format Banners Work Well at Live Events

Event signage gives businesses a way to stay visible in areas where people naturally gather. Banners and vinyl graphics can be placed near entrances, walkways, viewing areas, and other high-traffic parts of a venue. The design still needs to stay simple enough to work from a distance. At the Continental Surf Cup, our banner focused on recognizable Promo Box branding, a short message, and a direct way for interested attendees to reach the website. That approach is especially useful at sports events because spectators are usually focused on what is happening in front of them. The sign needs to communicate quickly without asking someone to stop and read a large amount of copy.

Outdoor event graphics also have to be produced for the conditions where they will be used. Sun exposure, wind, installation method, and the expected length of the event can all affect the choice of materials, printing method, and finishing. Outdoor printing is not only about getting the artwork right. The finished banner also needs to remain readable and hold up during the event.

Using Event Signage for Local and Regional Brand Visibility

The Continental Surf Cup showed how large-format print can support brand visibility in a real-world setting. Promo Box produces event banners, vinyl graphics, signs, and other large-format materials for businesses across Snohomish, King, Island, and Skagit counties.

For companies considering sponsorships, festivals, tournaments, and other live events, planning the signage early gives enough time for design, production, finishing, and installation requirements to be worked out before the event date.

Good event graphics do more than display a logo. They give a business a consistent physical presence in the space where the audience is already spending time.
